Board Game Club
Welcome to Board Game Club! We offer students a chance to unplug and interact face to face in a friendly and inclusive environment. Students will meet weekly to learn and play board games. This club is for anyone who wants to play, whether you have never played a game before or are an avid board game player! It will evolve with how the members want to play. We can play abstract games like Chess or Go, or Family Classics like Clue, Connect 4, Uno or Battleship. Also, role-playing games like D&D or Lord of the Rings, or Collectible Card Games like Magic or Pokemon. Also, we will learn newer games that focus on cooperation, deduction, dexterity or decision-making skills. All grade levels are welcome.
Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a fun club where readers gather and compete. Students in grades 6 to 8 create teams consisting of three to four members. Each team reads a set of twenty books and participates in a question-based "battle" about the books. During these battles, participants race to be the first to answer the questions. The winners of the school competition move on to the district-wide competition.

Junior Teen Institute (Jr. TI)
At Sells Middle School, Junior Teen Institute is a student-led organization that provides students with opportunities to develop their leadership skills while being confident in their decision to be drug-free, bully-free, and kind to others. Students who join JTI have the desire to lead a drug-free, bully-free life. They will support others who are making the same positive choices and encourage their peers to make healthy decisions. Junior Teen Institute implements alcohol and other drug prevention projects to clearly promote a “no use” message, and provides opportunities throughout the year for students to have fun without alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. JTI meets on the first Thursday of each month, and is open to all students grades 6 to 8.
